Prof. Dr. Ayça Tekin-Koru - CV

Ayça Tekin-Koru is one of the founding faculty members of TED University, where she currently serves as the Dean of Graduate Programs, Director of the Center for Sustainable Trade Research, and a faculty member in the Department of Economics. She holds a PhD in Economics from Purdue University. Her areas of expertise include international trade, foreign direct investment, and sustainable development. Bridging academic knowledge with practice, Tekin-Koru has led various consultancy projects with organizations such as the World Bank, World Trade Organization, Global Development Network, Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Kuwait Port Authority, KOSGEB (Small and Medium Enterprises Development Organization of Türkiye), the Ministry of Trade, and McKinsey. These projects have addressed a wide range of topics, including sustainability strategies, post-disaster recovery, trade in services, trade facilitation, SME internationalization, and logistics infrastructure planning. A co-founder of S4A – Sustainability for All, Tekin-Koru is an accredited sustainability reporting trainer certified by Türkiye’s Public Oversight Authority (KGK). She continues to provide multidimensional and interdisciplinary support to institutions in the areas of sustainability reporting, green transformation policies, and development-oriented analysis.

Prof. Dr. Nazire Nergiz Dinçer - CV

Nazire Nergiz Dinçer is a faculty member in the Department of Economics at TED University, Associate Director of the Trade Research Center, and one of the founding academics of the university. She holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Middle East Technical University and earned her master's and PhD degrees in Economics from Bilkent University. She completed her postdoctoral research at the University of California, Berkeley. Her main academic research areas include central banking, international economics and finance, sustainable development, disaster economics, and climate change. Dinçer actively bridges academic knowledge with practical applications through her involvement in numerous research and policy development projects conducted in collaboration with the World Bank, Islamic Development Bank, Organization of Islamic Cooperation, TÜBİTAK, and various public institutions. These projects have covered diverse themes such as mitigating the societal impacts of natural disasters, productivity analysis in the services sector, green transformation of SMEs, and the sustainability of trade. Focusing her work on sustainable development and green transformation, Dinçer coordinates TED University’s Sustainability Reporting Training Programs and serves as an accredited sustainability reporting trainer for the Public Oversight Authority (KGK). She currently provides consultancy services to private sector firms on sustainability reporting, strategic alignment, and green transformation policies. As one of the co-founders of S4A, she develops sustainability-oriented, data-driven, and interdisciplinary solutions for institutions, fostering a holistic approach that integrates academic expertise with practical implementation.

Doç. Dr. Abdullah Demir - CV

Dr. Dr. Abdullah Demir is the Chair of the Department of Civil Engineering at Abdullah Gül University (AGÜ) and a faculty member in the Graduate Program on Sustainable Urban Infrastructures. He received his BSc, MSc, and PhD degrees in Civil Engineering from Middle East Technical University (METU). Dr. Demir began his academic career with research in structural mechanics within civil engineering. Over time, his work evolved to focus on sustainability, energy efficiency, and optimization. He has produced numerous high-quality scientific publications and research projects in these fields. With his interdisciplinary perspective and solution-oriented approach, he has made significant contributions to the design and assessment of sustainable infrastructure systems. Bridging academia and industry, Dr. Demir has collaborated with various construction firms on sustainability reporting, green building strategies, energy efficiency assessments, and scientific consultancy. He has led several practice-oriented projects aimed at reducing the environmental impact of the construction sector and improving resource efficiency.

Doç. Dr. Ali Ersin Dinçer - CV

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ali Ersin Dinçer received his bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees in Civil Engineering from Middle East Technical University (METU). Specializing in hydromechanics, Dinçer also completed a bachelor’s degree in business administration at Anadolu University. He currently serves as a faculty member in the Department of Civil Engineering at Abdullah Gül University. Throughout his academic career, Dinçer has focused on technical fields such as fluid mechanics, fluid-structure interaction, numerical modeling, and the optimization of hydraulic systems. He has contributed to numerous international publications and projects, particularly in the areas of water resources management, flood risk, infrastructure safety, and renewable energy systems. Dinçer effectively translates his technical expertise into practice, serving as a principal investigator and researcher in several projects supported by TÜBİTAK, TEİAŞ, and the private sector. His work has included consulting and modeling in critical areas such as disaster resilience, optimization of energy infrastructures, and site selection for PV and wind power plants. Building a strong bridge between academia and the field, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dinçer stands out for his contributions to both scientific and practical knowledge in sustainable engineering solutions, post-disaster planning, and environmental impact assessments.
